La fondation de la BGLBC

En juillet 2022, l’initiative a été lancée pour créer la BeNeLux LGBTIQ+ Business Chamber* (BGLBC). Pour obtenir les commentaires des membres (potentiels), une enquête trilingue a été mise en place, qui a rapidement rassemblé plus de 250 participants. L’enquête reste ouverte pour plus d’entrées et de commentaires : vous êtes invité à la remplir (cela prend 2 minutes).

Une première réunion a eu lieu à Gand, une seconde à Amsterdam (photo de gauche) où nous avons eu l’opportunité de rencontrer les entrepreneurs et de présenter les premiers résultats de l’enquête.

Nous prendrons l’été pour faire les prochaines étapes, et vous tiendrons informés.

* Nous avons choisi l’abréviation LGBTIQ+ pour être en ligne avec les autres Chambres en Europe.
Nous sommes une Chambre de Commerce, pour ne pas être confondue avec la Chambre de Commerce semi-gouvernementale.

L’existence de chambres de commerce LGBTIQ+ – ou chambres d’Affaires comme on les appelle sur certains marchés – s’est avérée un facteur de succès pour le soutien et le développement de la communauté. Commençant aux États-Unis avec la NGLCC (fondé en 2002), il existe entre-temps des Chambres dans plus de 50 États et régions d’Amérique du Nord, dans 7 pays d’Amérique du Sud, au Canada, en Afrique du Sud et en Australie. Ces dernières années, des chambres européennes se sont créées.

En juin 2018, la création de la Chambre de commerce européenne LGBTI (EGLCC)) a été annoncée lors d’une conférence internationale à Vienne. Outre les représentants scandinaves, italien et allemands, ainsi que East meets West, la BGLBC appartient au réseau européen. Il existe également une coopération avec OutBritain.

Le BGLBC considère qu’il est de sa responsabilité de partager ses valeurs et ses expériences avec les autres chambres déjà existantes et de soutenir la fondation d’autres chambres.

Cela crée à son tour le potentiel d’élargir la clientèle et de développer de nouveaux marchés tout en créant simultanément des opportunités pour les PME LGBTIQ de développer leurs activités.

En plus de permettre aux PME LGBTIQ de développer leurs activités, un engagement à travailler avec ces divers fournisseurs offre une opportunité d’élever la communauté LGBTIQ dans son ensemble grâce à la création de nouveaux emplois, une augmentation des salaires et une meilleure visibilité, et la recherche montre que lorsque les entreprises augmentent leurs dépenses diversifiées, ils voient une augmentation de leur part de marché.

Cela légitime la position de l’entreprise LGBTIQ dans la chaîne d’approvisionnement diversifiée et permet aux organisations qui achètent des biens ou des services auprès de cette entreprise de déclarer les dépenses des divers fournisseurs et de promouvoir son engagement envers la diversité des fournisseurs.

Dans son rôle d’organisation faîtière, le BGLBC / EGLCC relie et promeut ses chambres de commerce nationales LGBTIQ membres à travers l’Europe, et offre un point central d’enregistrement pour les entreprises détenues et exploitées par des LGBTIQ.

Ses objectifs sont de :

rendre les entreprises LGBTIQ européennes plus visibles afin qu’elles deviennent un groupe pertinent dans leur communauté d’affaires locale;
accroître l’acceptation sociale des personnes LGBTIQ dans un environnement d’affaires afin qu’elles puissent devenir des acteurs influents dans leurs communautés d’affaires;
promouvoir la diversité comme une valeur pertinente dans le monde des affaires qui peut mener à des collaborations puissantes et créer des opportunités commerciales uniques;
faites comprendre aux entreprises LGBTIQ que le coming out en affaires n’est pas une menace pour leurs succès existants, mais qu’il est aussi précieux qu’un coming out personnel – cela rend les entreprises plus fortes, plus authentiques et plus performantes.
